iCal 7:30 PM. Cantilena [MA]: Open Auditions for "Poetic License". Cantilena, a women’s chorale, holds chorus member auditions for the May 12 concert "Poetic License," which features a selection of brilliant poetry set by fantastic composers, including a brand-new commission by Scott Wheeler of Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky." Many chorus members will also sing solo parts.
\ \ All soprano and alto voice parts available. The audition with Music Director Allegra Martin consists of vocal exercises, tone matching, and singing a familiar tune. Prior choral experience, sight reading, and a good ear desired. No preparation or appointment needed. Open rehearsals Mondays 7:30-10 pm; January 7, 14, 21, 2013.
