A select contemporary choral group based in the greater Bangor, ME area. The group performs contemporary choral works by composers such as Eric Whitacre, EWB, Joshua Shank, Arvo Paert, John Tavener, and Daniel Brinsmead. Drawing on all facets of the community, Divisi is proud to enlist the talents of not only public and private music educators, but also college students, high school students and community members. The choir is quite diverse and sets itself apart with its challenging repertoire.
The choir aims to not only provide an outlet for the singers and audience members but to also impact and educate our community positively through our shared love of contemporary a cappella choral music.
