The Kearsarge Chorale was formed by a group of 40 singers after coming together to present a concert commemorating the life of Ralph Vaughan Williams in 2008. Very soon the singers elected a Board to oversee administration and to support the work of their Artistic Director and Conductor, David L. Almond. The group sings two main concerts per year, one in late October or early November, and a spring concert in early May. We sing other more intimate concerts as well. See our website for more information on these. Our fall 2009 concert, A ROYAL MUSICK, featured two of the 'Coronation Anthems' of Handel, "Come, ye sons of art" and 'Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary' by Purcell, and shorter works by Parry and Vaughan Williams. Since then we have offered a variety of concerts from the classical and contemporary genres. See our concert postings on this website as well as our own.
