An ensemble of more than 30 singers, dancers, and instrumentalists representing Cuba, Haiti, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Mali, and others, engage in a dialogue that honors the more than 25 million people from across the sea enslaved by European colonial powers over more than four centuries, celebrating their heritage with readings, traditional music from many countries, and works by Gaspar Fernandes and others.
