Also, Benjamin Britten: A Ceremony of Carols for women’s voices; Jennifer Higdon: Deep in the Night. Premiered in 1961 in Boston, Poulenc’s Gloria has become one of the most celebrated choral interpretations of this Latin text, and marked a high point in the love affair between America and this consummately French composer. - The Seraphim Singers [MA]: Inspired to Joy. We have been through many challenges in recent years, yet Joy resurfaces from consolation growing into hope.
