Chorus description:
The Oriana Consort is a chorale of about 25 voices, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In the fall of 2021, after having suspended our activity for a season and a half due to the Covid pandemic, we resumed our pre-pandemic tradition of presenting two public concert programs every season, in November and March. We perform each of these three times, in Cambridge, Boston, and a suburb. In addition to these public concerts, every December we visit local assisted-living homes to sing holiday music for the residents, and in June of the odd-numbered years we present a concert of early music in the “Fringe” series of the Boston Early Music Festival. In Oriana we endeavor to cultivate and maintain a warm, attractive, and compelling choral sound. We hope that will be what you hear in the audio clips on our website, www.orianaconsort.org (click LISTEN).
