The Vermont state chapter of ACDA hosts a two-day conference on choral music for conductors, singers, and all who love and support the choral arts. The event includes performances, workshops for singers and conductors, reading sessions, and musical inspiration. Highlights in 2017 include:

  • All-conference Choir under the engaging direction of Chris Kiver, featuring Brahms's Liebeslieder Waltzes, op. 52. We'll explore a 'lighter' side of Brahms with these delightful pieces, have fun as we learn to master singing in German, and consider the waltz both as dance and as song!
  • Interest sessions on choral music traditions, choral styles, language coaching, vocal technique
  • Participant's Choice of a smaller chamber choir led by our ACDA colleagues (preparing 3-5 pieces for performance)
  • Reading Sessions with a variety of repertoire
  • Keynote Address by Dr. Chris Kiver
  • Opening Evening Reception and Contra Dance Closing Conference
  • Performance by the chamber choirs and all-conference choir

Cost is $100 or $50 student (regular registration); $20 discount for early registration. On-campous housing available for $50 shared, $60 single; lunch for $15. Credit offered through Castleton University, Castleton, VT. $125 for 1 credit.
