Woods Hole Cantata Consort

A summer community chorale and chamber orchestra founded in 1973 that performs a program of classical music. Adult singers of all ages and voices rehearse for six weeks and present a performance. No formal auditions, but singers should be proficient. Singers interested in joining the choir can contact us by email for more information on rehearsal schedules and music fees.

The program for 2018, under the direction of Maggie Bossi:

Franz Schubert: Psalm 92 (Phil Lima, baritone); Mass in G; Ola Gjielo: The Ground for strings, piano and choir; an arrangement of “How Can I Keep From Singing”; with solo movements from two Bach cantatas (Phil Lima, baritone; Joan Kirchner, soprano) and Ennio Morricone's Gabriel’s Oboe.

Concerts: August 18, 2018 (7:30 pm) and August 19, 2016 (4 pm). at the Church of the Messiah, 22 Church Street, Woods Hole, MA.
