Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. 7:30 PM. Brattleboro Women's Chorus [VT]: Annual Fall Concert - "Keep Hope Alive". Joining the eighty women and director Becky Graber are Cathy Martin, piano, Julian McBrown, bass, and Lisa McCormick, guitar, and with her ukulele orchestra. Songs include Andy Davis’s four-part arrangement of “Let the Life I’ve Lived”; Peter Amidon’s “Crossing the Bar”; and India Arie's (arr. Graber), “I Am Light.” There will be songs learned by the nineteen chorus members who attended the Sister Singers Festival in Michigan last summer: “With Great Love” and “Stand in That River.” Ysaye Barnwell's “Keep Hope Alive” promises to be a grand finale with ukuleles, bass, singers, and audience all involved.
