7:00 PM. Voices of Concinnity Chamber Ensemble [CT]: Voices of Concinnity Chamber Ensemble, "Old, New, Borrowed, and... Long Overdue: an interactive tour of choral music by exploring the footnotes.". Interesting tidbits that lend to the incredible journey some songs have taken, such as Allegri's Misesere, together with some composers who may have been relegated to the footnotes, such as Rhienberger, a brilliant composer considered of secondary importance by his contemporaries, or Cozzolani, a prominent 17th century composer. Contemporary composers Melissa Dunphy, Hyo-Won Woo, and Ariel Quintana are also included, The concert program will be digital and the audience will have the opportunity to categorize the songs via an app specifically designed for this concert. The result will be an eclectic mix of artfully crafted choral music, compelling stories of the songs, and a little trivia fun.
