Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. September 7, 2022 (Wednesday)

7:30 PM. Jameson Singers [MA]: Jameson Singers Auditions. Founded in 2010, the Jameson Singers has become one of the premiere vocal ensembles in the Boston area. The audition consists of scales, ear and pitch memory exercises, and sight-reading in order to evaluate voice, ear, and reading abilities. A prepared piece is not required, but prior musical experience is expected. Tenors and basses are especially welcome.
\ \ At this time, all singers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have had at least one booster dose. Masks are also required. Interested singers are asked to email auditions@jamesonsingers.org to set up an audition.
\ \ The repertory of the Jameson Singers encompasses music from the Renaissance to the present. This season’s repertoire includes Handel’s Dixit Dominus with professional soloists and Baroque orchestra and music of Byrd, Tomkins, Bach, Brahms, Bortniansky, Stephen Paulus, and Pēteris Vasks.
\ \ The Jameson Singers performs several concerts of choral-orchestral and smaller works each season. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 9:45 PM and begin September 14, 2022. The Winter Holiday Concert will be on December 3, 2022, and the Handel concert will be on May 6, 2023.
\ \ Under the leadership of its Music Director, Kevin Leong, the Jameson Singers continues its commitment to the excellent intonation, unified ensemble, and inspired, communicative singing for which it has gained critical acclaim.
