Afternoon of Brass #3 Seeking Volunteer Singers

Volunteers Needed! Northbridge Brass Endeavors is looking for 200+ singers and 56 brass players to perform with a brass ensemble that includes members of the BSO & Boston Pops at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Mass., on Sunday 26 May 2024 (the day before Memorial Day). This opportunity is for any singer or brass player (over the age of 13). Music educators are welcome to perform and to share this opportunity with their students as well. Volunteer performers are also asked to pay a registration fee, which includes a ticket to the concert.

You will rehearse and perform under the direction of Stephen Bulla. As arranger for the President's Own Marine Corps Band and White House Orchestra for 30 years, Steve has had the pleasure of working with John Williams directly. Now, Steve has just completed a fantastic "operatic" arrangement of John Williams' music from the film E.T. for brass, percussion and large chorus.

Singers will rehearse on stage at Mechanics Hall on Sunday May 26, 2024 with the integrated ensemble starting around 2 pm. The performance of E.T. concludes the first half of the concert ~4:15 pm. Singers will also perform in the massed brass finale selections by Richard Wagner: "Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral" (arr. Jack Gale) and "The Gathering of the Armies on the River Scheldt" (arr. Brian Buerkle).
