Written by Daniel Roumain, with librettist Marc Bamuthi Joseph and choreographer Amy Seiwert. The composer has described the new work as a re-imagining of King Kong - "a tweetable biography." It explores the malleable caverns of "unconditional love" and the impact of a crush on a younger boy's emotional balance as racial barriers are explored in a heart-shaped box.
