Seeking Woods Hole Cantata Consort Music Director for 2027 Summer Season and Beyond

The Woods Hole Cantata Consort is a summer community chorale and chamber orchestra located in the village of Woods Hole in the town of Falmouth on Cape Cod. For 52 years, we have performed a high-quality program of classical and “classical-adjacent” music once a year for the local community.

Our organization consists of approximately 45 adults with diverse musical skills who come together to rehearse weekly (and occasionally twice-weekly) from mid-June until we perform in mid-August.  In recent years we have performed major and minor works by Mozart, Bach, Purcell, and Handel as well as folk song arrangements by Rutter, works by Ola Gjeilo, and lesser-known songs by Bob Chilcott and Sarah Quartel.

Artistic Director, Hampshire Young People’s Chorus

Hampshire Young People’s Chorus (HYPC), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Amherst, Massachusetts, is searching for an innovative, community-minded choral artist to serve as its next Artistic Director, beginning with the 2026-2027 season. The Artistic Director is responsible for promoting and executing HYPC’s mission––to provide a joyful and welcoming musical home for children in and around Hampshire County. The Artistic Director will serve as the conductor for HYPC’s two ensembles. Weekly rehearsals are Tuesday afternoons and evenings from September through May.

Artistic Leadership

(Northampton, MA) Pioneer Valley Cappella Seeks Artistic Director for Fall 2026

Pioneer Valley Cappella, a long-standing auditioned community ensemble of 25-30 singers, seeks a new artistic director to begin working with us in September 2026.

Our repertoire is eclectic and mostly within the “classical” or Western art music tradition. We perform the works of both familiar and lesser-known composers from all periods, including our own. Despite our name, we sometimes are accompanied in concert by a pianist or small chamber ensemble.

We seek an experienced conductor with broad knowledge of choral repertoire and adequate piano skills to lead us in weekly rehearsals (currently Thursday nights at the Northampton Community Music Center) for two concert programs per year, each of which we perform twice. Fall semester runs from September through mid-November; spring runs from January to early May.

SCC is a welcoming, non-auditioned community chorus of approximately 50 singers. We are dedicated to musical excellence, vocal development, and sharing the joy of choral music with the Seacoast community. We perform two major concerts each year (January and May).
