A Most Challenging Time

We are in the midst of a societal crisis where choruses cannot gather as they normally would to bring us together, in community, “closely, warmly, and openly.”

While choruses and choral singing have been disrupted, devoted choristers and choral directors continue to create virtual performances and to innovate in rehearsing and in planning together for the future. Composers in the choral arts are writing profound new repertoire based on the shared and disparate experiences of our altered environment.

The sustained devotion and innovation within the New England choral community shows us that this community will emerge from our current crisis teeming with new passions and enthusiasms, and with unprecedented musical programs and performances that will bring our communities together again in harmony.

Choral Arts New England is determined not only to maintain our existing annual grants programs, which has supported New England’s 460 choruses for 40 years, but to be ready to support our vital choral community as it works through and emerges from our current crisis.

We are building a fund for the future. Donors to this effort will have an enormous impact on the future of the choral arts by making possible the inspirations and aspirations of our choral community.

Thank you for taking the time to read through our prospectus and to consider joining our initiative to provide a vital resource to our community: “A Voice for Voices.”
