iCal 12:00 PM. Vocal Revolution [MA]: Boston A Cappella Festival. A free, public, outdoor arts event from noon to 6 pm that celebrates the human voice and its ability to produce high-quality and genuine musical experiences. Participating community ensembles from high schoolers to seniors, from Springfield MA to Providence RI to Boston Metro West. Genres include barbershop, madrigals, modern, jazz, oldies, and more. An array of motets and villancicos from past and present, including Conrad Susa’s Carols and Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest for marimba, guitar and harp; plus villancicos, carols, and motets from the New World and the Old. In light of recent targeting of our immigrant communities by the federal government, Musica Sacra is donating a portion of the ticket proceeds to the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA).
