A concert that culminates the annual day-long choral festival, it features Rob Hugh, who has written over 250 musical works, many of them for children’s choirs. This year we will feature some of his works on our concert with both our full festival choir and with the Junior and Senior Choirs of MSCC. An array of motets and villancicos from past and present, including Conrad Susa’s Carols and Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest for marimba, guitar and harp; plus villancicos, carols, and motets from the New World and the Old. In light of recent targeting of our immigrant communities by the federal government, Musica Sacra is donating a portion of the ticket proceeds to the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA).
