7:00 PM. Convivium Musicum [MA]: Renaissance Christmas Open Sing. Before The Messiah there was "The Boar's Head Carol!" Come join Convivium Musicum for a festive Renaissance Christmas Community Sing - enjoy singing favorite motets of the season, such as Victoria's "O Magnum Mysterium," Sweelinck's "Hodie Christus Natus Est," and works by Lassus, Byrd, and more, plus favorite carols of the period. The centerpiece will be Bauldeweyn’s Missa da Pacem, formerly attributed to Josquin; and we will share other works misattributed to Obrecht, Isaac, Victoria, and Palestrina.
