Description

Founded in 2019, the Lexington Children’s Chorus is a community choral program serving singers from Lexington and surrounding towns throughout Greater Boston. LCC includes three ensembles for singers in grades K–6: Musical Explorers (grades K–1), Preparatory Chorus (grades 2–4), and the Lexington Children’s Chorus - an auditioned treble chorus for singers in grades 4–6.

The choirs rehearse at the Academy of Creative Arts, 12 A Street, Burlington, MA 01803

The program emphasizes healthy vocal development, musicianship, artistic expression, and age-appropriate choral training in a supportive and engaging environment. Singers perform repertoire in a variety of musical styles and languages while developing vocal technique, music-reading skills, ensemble artistry, and performance confidence.

In addition to presenting its own concerts and community performances, the auditioned ensemble has collaborated regularly with the Lexington Symphony, including performances on Holiday Pops concerts as well as Carmina Burana. LCC is committed to fostering meaningful musical experiences for young singers while helping to cultivate a lifelong love of music and the arts.
