Chorus description:
We are the Keene, NH chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA) aka Keene Cheshiremen Chorus, one of over 800 chapters worldwide), established in 1952, and NH's first barbershop harmony chapter. Registered nonprofit in NH. 2025 is our 73rd year. The Cheshiremen Chorus is the premiere men's a cappella chorus in the Monadnock Region of NH. We meet weekly on Tuesdays, 6:30 PM at the United Church of Christ in Keene. Please see our web site for current schedule and events: https://www.cheshiremen.org . We meet all year long and prepare for performances and events in our region. Generally, we present two major shows for the public per year - a Spring/Annual show and one at Christmastime. We encourage and support 'a cappella' singing YOUTH in our community. We entertain audiences with thrilling performances throughout the year. Learning our music is easy - we provide everything you'll need - including learning tracks audio for all four parts - and coaching! No auditions, no secret handshake! We're a bunch of great guys with a singing problem! We enjoy singing and performing. Listeners are amazed! Songs date from the late 1800's right up to the 21st Century (Elton John, Beach Boys, Josh Groban, Broadway Musicals) in four-part mens' barbershop harmony. You are welcome to visit and try this with us - anytime - please! PS - We are the Singing Valentines guys!
