Music on the Hill Summer Sings

Join the Summer Sings program, every Tuesday evening in August at 7 pm. No advance registration required; scores provided; donations welcome! Artistic directors and guest conductors will lead us in notable works from the classical choral repertoire including a session of British composers one of American composers. At the Wilton Presbyterian Church in the WEPCO church complex, 48 New Canaan Road in Wilton.

Schedule for 2017:

  • Aug. 8: Reformation Cantata and other music by J.S. Bach, led by Music on the Hill artistic director David H. Connell;
  • Aug. 15: To be announced (visit the website closer to the date);
  • Aug. 22: Gabriel Fauré: Requiem, led by Fiona Smith Sutherland, Music Director at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Wilton;
  • Aug. 29: "Best Anthems in the World" (including works by Handel, Mendelssohn, and more), led by Craig Scott Symons, Director of Music at First Congregational Church of Greenwich.

Music on the Hill promotes engagement with music by offering workshops, the Summer Sings series, and four performing ensembles -- Chamber Chorus, Festival Chorus, Summer Chorus, and the Jubilate Ringers handbell choir -- all under the direction of artistic directors David H.
