Artistic Director

The Metropolitan Chorale seeks an innovative, visionary, and passionate choral conductor to serve as its next Artistic Director. 

The Artistic Director (AD) is responsible for promoting and executing the mission and vision of the Metropolitan Chorale. This role is a part-time position appointed by and reporting to the Metropolitan Chorale Board of Directors. The AD is accountable for all musical and artistic decisions, and together with the Board of Directors, conceptualizes, schedules and produces the concert season. The AD will select and execute all of the music within a season’s activities: rehearsals, performances, recordings, etc., on a schedule appropriate to the organization’s planning timetable. The part-time position averages 10 hours per week throughout the season. The salary is $24,000. Benefits are not included.

Choral Director

The Coolidge Corner Community Chorus is seeking a new Choral Director to lead a non-auditioned, adult SATB chorus that meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. in Brookline, MA (September through June). The group is composed of approximately 50 - 60 singers of differing abilities and backgrounds, all of whom enjoy a range of musical styles from early to contemporary, as well as masterworks to little known compositions.

We are looking for a Choral Director to select appropriate repertoire, lead rehearsals, and direct concerts. The Chorus performs an annual spring concert at All Saints Parish in Brookline, as well as one or more smaller performances at local venues throughout the year.
