Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. January 15, 2018 (Monday)

7:30 PM. Cantilena [MA]: Cantilena Auditions. Cantilena is an SSAA chorus in Arlington Mass. We look for voices which blend with our ensemble and also encourage members try out for the solo passages within our classical contemporary repertoire. If you are interested, we ask that you come to one of the open rehearsals, sing with us, and then stay after the abbreviated rehearsal for a brief audition with our music director, Jennifer Kane, and a small audition committee. There is no need to reserve a spot, and no preparation is required. The audition consists of vocal exercises and tone matching, followed by having you sing a familiar tune of our choosing. Our singers have prior choral experience and either some sight-reading ability or a very good ear. Cantilena rehearses each Monday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Arlington Center. Cantilena’s spring 2018 semester begins on January 15 and ends with a concert on Sunday, May 6. Rehearsals are held on all Monday holidays, including MLK Day. For inquiries, please contact Dir.
