Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. iCal 7:30 PM. Women In Harmony [ME]: Songs of Resistance. Six songs from the Justice Choir Songbook, including "Resilience" by Abbie Betinis and "This is What Democracy Looks Like" by Elizabeth Alexander, with "The New Underground Railroad" by Holly Near, "Never Sit Down" by Gwyneth Walker, "Walk My Own Revolution" by Sue Johnson, and there civil rights songs. The Justice Choir, brainchild of composer Abbie Betinis, is a movement dedicated to furthering “social and environmental justice…by engaging communities in singing together.” In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Women in Harmony, alumnae are invited to return and sing.
