Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. 7:30 PM. Maine Music Society Chamber Singers and 5 other a cappella groups [ME]: Battle of the Blends XXVI - An A Cappella Blowout. Battle of the Blends features 7 extraordinary a cappella singing groups from around New England who will present their energetic vocal renditions of jazz, barbershop, pop, rock ‘n’ roll, and Renaissance music. Coming together to benefit MMS are: the Deansmen (Bates College), Fermata NoWhere (Edward Little High School), Maine Music Society Chamber Singers, None of the Above (from Wellesley, Mass.), Northern Pitch (a 5-voice group of lifelong musicians based in Portland), and Vocal Solution (8 singers with varied musical backgrounds from the Oxford Hills area).
