4:00 PM. The Boston Cecilia [MA]: Loaded Dice: Music Determined and Improvised. The program will contrast the highly structured works of Brahms, Byrd, DuFay, Lassus and Pärt with the “chance” or improvisatory music of Pauline Oliveros. Followed by the Cecilia Gala (5:30–7:30 pm) at the MIT Media Lab. Gala tickets can be purchased separately or in combination with a concert ticket at a discounted price.
