Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. 7:30 PM. Lexington Pops Chorus [MA]: Non-Audition Open Rehearsals. Sing with Lexington Pops Chorus in Its 42nd Season! Free open rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, September 12th and 19th. Singers must be able to read music. Now beginning its 42nd year, the chorus enjoys the enthusiasm of members from over 15 area towns. We sing a wide variety of music, including classical, Broadway, jazz, folk and gospel. Our winter concerts on January 19 and 20, 2024, will be dedicated to Bob Lague, who directed the chorus for 41 years since its inception in 1982. The program will feature Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia”, “How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place” from Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem, “Goin' Home”, adapted from the Largo of Dvorak’s “New World" Symphony, and more.
